Dr. Kristen Hick, Psy.D. - Director, Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Kristen Hick, Psy.D, is a Doctor of Psychology, a Licensed Psychologist in Colorado, and Director of Center of Shared Insight, PC. Following obtaining her master’s and doctoral degrees, Dr. Hick completed a nationally certified, APA-accredited Predoctoral Internship and APPIC-accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship.
While Dr. Hick was trained as a clinical generalist, with experience treating clients of all ages, and all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, her expertise is in:

Her goal is help clients improve relationships, one person at a time, as she believes these changes will enrich and strengthen relationships, families and communities for generations to come.
Dr. Hick is passionate about her work and feels honored to be a part of each client's journey. Her therapeutic style is described as a balance of warmth, understanding and a gentle push towards change. Her approach focuses on building a strong working relationship with clients, which provides the foundation to explore, process, and change patterns.
Prior to founding Center for Shared Insight, PC, Dr. Hick practiced in a variety of settings, including:
Group private practices
Community mental health centers
Domestic violence shelters
Sexual assault/rape crisis centers
Residential substance abuse center
Dr. Hick enjoys the Colorado outdoors, spending time with her family, and practicing yoga. Dr. Hick serves as a Community Supervisor for Clinical Psychology doctoral students in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at The University of Denver. She is also involved in A Home Within, a program providing long-term psychotherapy to individuals involved in the foster care system, pro bono.
She is a nationally-recognized featured expert contributor to online publications including The Good Men Project, MeetMindful, Digital Romance, and YOGAnonymous. Dr. Hick recently published a free ebook about fearless living and loving, which is available as a free download.
